  1. After watching "It's Such A Beautiful Day" and "World of Tomorrow"

Watched each #animation after I saw the news about the release of The #DonHertzfeldt Collection on #DropoutTV. Totally not an excuse to test Dropout on #Grayjay.

    But glad I did.

Both were quite a ride, surprisingly engaging from the get-go, and their endings left me in a thoughtful state afterwards.

Dunno if World of Tomorrow saw a physical or DRM-free release, but apparently It's Such A Beautiful Day is also on DVD, so I'll probably try to hunt it down.

About Dropout itself, natively, it's as bad as streamings are. Watching on a 3rd party frontend makes it less miserable at least, though I wonder if/when they'll start blocking access.

  3. Greenland again?

    RE: https://mastodon.bot/users/trending/statuses/116561494005707074

    #Greenland #geopolitics

Thought the topic had died out. But going by what people are commenting, it's military bases now, instead of buying it. Sounds like it's a smaller scope than the previous time.

Or maybe buying Greenland was intentionally outlandish to make increasing the military presence more reasonable, specially since, if indeed true, there was a considerable Chinese presence there.

Wouldn't be the first time Trump makes an excessive demand to make what he really wants pass as a good deal to those that otherwise wouldn't want it.
