  1. So I ordered some new filter papers for my Hario V60 from eBay and interestingly they arrived unexpectedly tonight via Amazon essentially next day delivery 😳 I’m not complaining as original eBay delivery ETA was 5-9 days. But certainly interesting. Anyone else in Oz 🦘experienced this?

  2. Although the content is harmless, it's extremely disappointing to see a politician validating the use of deepfake technology. FFS what sort of message does this send our children???

  3. When the big Supermarkets and Banks try to spin the line that their profits benefit shareholders, everyday families blah blah blah. Just remember after the investment firms, their CEOs are the some of their biggest shareholders. Everyday mums and dads don't hold hundreds of thousands of shares in Woolworths, or CommBank or Westpac etc.

  5. Thought I would take the kiddos out to the plant nursery today. So of course Melbourne put its best weather on 🤣

  6. ‘Customers ordering IKEA products via remote shopping have a range of different, affordable delivery options. Delivery to your door starts from $29, and delivery into the home starts from $49.’

Why no delivery to the #IKEA phone box?? 🤣

  7. Pretty shocked the greens took this approach. Did not expect this of them. This shit should be prescription only, regardless of age. We had a chance to stop this health crisis, instead we will just continue to burden our health system and future generations.

  8. Definitely feels like this start to winter is more frosty.

  9. Clearly the cost of living and interest rates has no effect on some. Overheard a conversation today, ‘we started redoing our cinema today, just didn’t like the colour scheme and furniture’ 😳

  10. I’ve worked in Gov before and it was crystal clear the rules around accepting gifts, to the point that you had to turn down someone buying you a coffee.

NDIS is so important and vital to so many Australians and its disappointing that some officials chose to blatantly ignore this and risk ruining the system for those in need.

  11. I remember going there in primary school as part of a school camp/trip down from Queensland. Was pretty exciting as a young one. Would be interesting to see again.

  12. So the COALitions argument is if we are going to fail on our climate targets we might has as well fail dramatically and in ‘denial’ style 🤷

  13. Ahhh the joy of trying to explain to kiddos some form of logic around why the kings birthday isn’t the same in every state, nor is it his real birthday… 😵‍💫

  14. Do I just not eat as much eggs as everyone else? 2 cartoons per transaction doesn’t seem like much of a restriction. I guess it’s more in place to limit panic buying.

  15. WTF??? Even if you have ecological concerns about the location of winds farms you don’t team up with some jokey that thinks new coal powered power stations are good for the environment. That just removes any credibility you may have had.

  16. The alarming thing is this is one of our two major parties, so there is a genuine possibility they could completely screw things up.

  17. Friendly reminder: The #dairy farmers who rise before dawn every day of the year, rain, hail, snow or shine, to bring you fresh milk receive less than half of what you pay at supermarket. And it's about to get worse.

  18. Queue every landlord on the radio this morning, whinging about having to replace broken, end-of-life heaters with efficient split systems, and threatening to pass the cost onto renters. Seriously, just be a decent landlord and replace the old heater, you have to replace it anyway.

  19. It's disappointing to think this probably came down to a #NotInMyBackYard type attitude

Well, guess what it is already in your backyard - this was a pathway that would have helped to fix a situation that is spirally out of control.

  24. 1/🧵 A lot of talk again recently about Uni #HECS debits. People still raise the 'apparently' interesting point that even when some of the course fees went up entry numbers still increased. I’m not surprised at all, considering the societal narrative ingrained in young minds. From an early age, we're told that a Uni degree is a prerequisite for success.
