On collapse of trust in services. Paid for a mail hold from Australia Post while on holiday - not cheap. Only one item posted in the holiday interval, a quite important certificate. The mail hold was not implemented and the item was delivered. Gobsmacked. They gave a refund for the mail hold fee, but that is not the point. Will not trust this service again. #auspost

Having the WORST experience with AusPost website lately.

Mobile literally says "You have been blocked" when I try to log in.

App forcibly opens the mini-browser thing with a swipe captcha followed by same or `not found`.

Laptop login attempts yield "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker" - except I've done that and there's STILL a failing JS call to download more JS thanks to `NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI` ??

Wtf am I supposed to even do here

Seriously, #AusPost? Package started near Brisbane and showed as "Expected 29-30 June". Then it sat in Sydney for three days. Now it's been redirected back to Brisbane and is "Expected 3-6 July".

I also can't avoid repeating my grumble about the terrible design that includes the words "It's coming today" when they mean:

'Here are the words "It's coming today" - when that's true, we'll put a blue bar next to it."

Auspost has once again said a delivery is at the local post office because "safe place not suitable". I was WFH and didn't even get a knock / delivery attempt.

To be fair this only occurs once in a while.

Not sure should whether I should
1. Complain b/c this shouldn't be happening
or
2. Not complain because postie is possibly under impossible KPIs
or
3. Passive aggressively put a sign on the door saying "Please knock for delivery"

i thought i read somewhere that aus post were no longer going to deliver daily — our regular postie responded by getting a new job, cos she needed to work full time

parcels are delivered by van, letters by bike,

but, the letter service has been rubbish for about 3 years now, which is why none of us old farts who liked to post stuff bother any more.

delivery is very unreliable

electoral commission sent me an email asking if i wanted to register to vote by mail, and i haven’t cos i value my vote too much

So after 2 Business days and a weekend, they say express parcel WITH tracking has only 2 tracking events - 1. lodged and 2. passed customs waiting for plane.
Now the above is what I get for trying to use my paid tracking service!

1 You can buy online without setting up an account and password. Just like walking into a shop 👏

2 In partnership with their courier (I think it was #Startrack via #Auspost ) they delivered a small consignment to me IN 24 HOURS as a normal shipping service 👏 👏

I have a parcel coming from Newcastle, so of course #AusPost took it to Sydney, then to Fyshwick... then to Denman Prospect for some reason, then Karabar of all places, then back to Sydney and now it's in Fyshwick again. It'll be interesting to see how it's actually addressed when it finally gets here (although I've ordered from these guys many times before and never seen this happen so it may truly be an AusPost miracle).

I love how #auspost let you name your deliveries, but give you no clue as to who sent them or what they might be.

Found a small parcel in the undergrowth around the side of the house next to the garden tap. Unsure how long it had been there, or why #Auspost saw fit to bypass the front door, doorbell etc to hack through the jungle to hide it there. It's time for a Royal Commission into Australia Post, with special reference to IQ levels.

Fuck #AusPost, I just set off to walk to the post box and got out the door before remembering they've removed the postbox near us.

Anyone know how #auspost works? We ordered from the school's 3rd party uniform shop, to have it delivered to the school, and entered our billing address wrong.

Notifications about the delivery still showed up in my AusPost app.

How?

This is getting silly.
Some eBay purchases now generate THREE separate emails at each stage of a shipment. Up to 12 emails for a single $5 transaction.
Why does anyone need notification from the seller, #ebay, AND #Auspost to tell me my parcel is out for delivery?
Oh and Auspost sends you a bonus text just in case.

Finally arrived today after 12 days in transit. Express Post is meant to arrive in 3 days here. The item is a pre-programmed watch for an old person at risk of falling. It contains 3 phone numbers, 2 family members and emergency. When the button is pressed it supposedly calls the numbers in rotation. The problem will be getting her to wear it. #australia #auspost

Update -- parcel went back to Sydney then for some unknown reason to Lismore. Hopes of ever receiving it are currently low. #australia #auspost

Auspost, really? Important item sent express post from Brisbane to Cootamundra. Got to Sydney ok, now in Terrigal, completely the wrong direction. What is going on? Is this really the best you can do? #australia #auspost
