@flyingsquirrel Thanks. That makes me feel slightly better, because we were never going to hang out at the side of the road near Elmira for 3 hours.
I wax actually surprised at how many people we saw at the side of the road. I speculate that making a relatively small effort for the total eclipse primed people to get out for the aurora.
