As always, I'm late for #FursuitFriday, but I tend to edit photos on a Saturday and I'm too impatient to wait a whole week to post what I've edited!

So here for #FursuitSaturday is a pic of Solar ( https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:solar_eclipsey ) from #Aurawra2026.

I've been trying out some different techniques with my editing lately and I thought this would be a great shot to experiment with. I really love the photo, but the high contrast of Solar, combined with the poor light of the lobby, made the picture look pretty average. I've tried to bring out some of the detail without making it look washed out, and I reckon it looks a lot better, but I think Solar's awesome suit is still doing most of the heavy lifting in making this photo look cool! :blobfoxlaughsweat:

If there are any photographers and/or #Darktable experts out there, I'm very open to tips or suggestions. :blobfoxcamera:

OK, as a special treat, I'm posting another #FursuitFriday pic.

This time it's a bit of a behind-the-scenes into my fursuit photography. My process is actually quite simple, I get @MolarFox to wrangle fursuiters, choose a location, direct the poses and frame the shots, then, once he's sorted all of that out, I lean over his shoulder and take a photo!

In this instance I feel the photo of him taking a photo had a certain, je ne sais quoi, that I thought was pretty special.

I should also give a huge shout-out to Diesel ( https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:dieseltheyeen ) for doing so much awesome posing for us. A quick review of my #Aurawra2026 photos suggests my posts may be pretty Diesel heavy over the coming months.

I actually remembered to post something for #FursuitFriday! Luckily I've recently returned from #Aurawra2026 and have plenty of photos to choose from.

This is a shot of Zet ( https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:zet_soku ) who was out the front of the hotel, ready to pounce on any unsuspecting photographers. Luckily I survived the horror of those big cuddly paws.

Another nice shot from the crowd. While I love the rich colours and textures that a crowd of furries provides, there is always the risk of some fluffy ears or a big snoot obstructing the shot. You'll just have to pretend that the ear in the foreground was a deliberate artistic choice. :blobfoxlaughsweat:

Looking back through my photos from #Aurawra2025, I have a few nice shots of people milling around during the fursuit walk. I'm not very good at 'planned' photos or posing, so I much prefer these casual, opportunistic shots.

I really liked this pic of Iceberg ( https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:iceberg_(wolf) ); those ears are inconceivably fluffy!

This is Tiramisu ( https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:tiramisu_dragon ). I like this shot because it shows some of Tiramisu's beautiful colours and details, especially those fluffy ears! I guess this photo's one shortcoming is that it doesn't show their full body, as the patterns and details are really something to behold!

Still fiddling with my photos from the Aurawra DJ set. Being so dark with so much movement made photography hard but with all the colours and action, when a photo comes out well, it is really worth it!

I just need to practice more I reckon, I got far too many blurry photos!

I reckon this pic is of Zokuwa https://www.furtrack.com/index/character:zokuwa is pretty cool. Some good colours and contrast, and with the other dancers in the background it really shows the energy.

I had never tried to take photos during a DJ set before and the darkness, smoke and stage lighting certainly posed some new challenges! I've always been impressed by concert photographers but this has given me a whole new appreciation for how hard it must be to get really good gig photos.

Despite the challenges I loved the vibrant colours and sharp contrast provided by the lighting and the candid, uninhibited movement of the dancers.

I really loved this shot of Snack dancing during Nayfins' set. I'm not quite sure what it was that caught my eye, but I do love the mix of bright lights and dark silhouettes. I think it really captures the moment.

Last weekend I attended #aurawra2025 with @MolarFox. It was my first ever furcon and it was so much fun!

While I spent more time at panels, chatting to people and exploring the con than I had anticipated, I still managed to find time to take plenty of photos.

The fursuit walk was a great opportunity to get some candid shots while everyone was mingling. After the group photo as everyone was wandering around I pulled out the zoom lens to get some 'face in the crowd' shots. I love these kinds of photos as you get a crisp portrait shot with a background filled with amazing colours and textures from all the other surrounding suits.

Unfortunately I don't know who this suiter is, but they have such great personality and expression I just had to grab this shot. It also helps that I love suits with pointy ears. :blobfoxlaugh:

Woah I'm here! I have had a weekend a little too busy for social media :>

This weekend was #aurawra2025 in Parramatta, Sydney! Me and @Flute drove up.

For the duration of the con, I got I think about 50 mins of VHS-C cam footage and... moons, I think nearly 300 photos with my Mavica FD-95 and FD-75!? Mostly 95 but the 75 can fit 20 pics per disk as opposed to 4 per disk with the 95's considerably higher resolution photos x3

I love taking photos of fursuiters especially!

We are now going to spend a few days in Kangaroo Valley!
