Let me start by saying this won't be a thing but I wanted to see if I make a window fully transparent, would a Liquid Glass view still show whatever is behind the app... and two, what would it look like if I made a music player that sorta resembled an old Audion skin... (Mastodon won't let me mix media types, so here's the video -- #Audion screenshot in the next post).
But I'm getting ideas for new apps #macOS that aren't necessarily square in shape! :)

@panic #Audion (Viewer) as #AppleMusic controller is just awesome!
There is a github repo with some basic changes need to do to make it work: https://github.com/zydeco/audion/tree/applescript
I build my self a version based on the lastest sources (https://gitlab.com/panicinc/audion).
Sadly there are a few bugs. For example:
- The scrolling song title breaks out
- The interface settings dialog doesn’t work - it’s just a placeholder#mp3player #musicplayer #proofofconcept #retro #retrocomputing

Are there a #macOS #developer here that likes #music and classic #mp3 players?
We _need_ a descent mp3 player since #Apple Music is a mess and buggy as hell.
@panic released a skin engine to use classic #audion faces. Please! Someone pick up the source ( https://gitlab.com/panicinc/audion ) and make a full music player like audion or #soundjam out of it!

Crossfade on #iOS #AppleMusic is a game changer.
I’ve been waiting for this ever since switching from #Panic’s #Audion to #iTunes in January 2001.
Go to #Settings ➝ Music to find the setting and then play this playlist:

Even if used #Macamp (the Mac version of Winamp) back in the days, the sexiest audio player was Audion (Developer: Panic). Also used Soundjam MP (that became iTunes).

@octothorpe besides full ack... @panic has released a very nice faces viewer and sinple mp3 player based on their awesome #Audion as open source https://gitlab.com/panicinc/audion ... Someone - *waving @marioguzman *g - could grab the code and make a 'next gen' audion out of it... :)

How much I miss #audion - and in general skinable applications and #UI|s - … I really hope someone picks up the audion viewer source code and make a full audio player or #AppleMusic remote…

@limi I bought a Power Mac G4 MDD last week. So I now have a very well working and fast Mac OS X 10.5 machine :)
#hellosystem is the closest if you want something like that on modern hardware. But #Audion, #AppleWorks, #Transmit, … all the stuff that makes this old Mac OS so great besides the system core is missing today.

@Eggfreckles i miss #iTunes... And #Audion, #SoundJam... I still have a big MP3 collection build via self ripped CDs, Bandcamp and (some rare) Amazon downloads.
on mobiles i use #QuasarMXPro ... To have a iTunes-like music player -
This is the #OpenSource #Musicplayer #Audion by #Panic on #macOS Monterey with the Stereo Face (Skin)
Sadly this app lacks on a playlist or other settings besides to select the skin. It is officially only a "Audion Viewer". I hope panic will some day make a full music player out of it like in the old days :/ (or someone else extend it...)
