36.0 Echos / Echo #32 - What's that bird?
https://makertube.net/w/2oEuhiLUpFT4SqdQefH2yZEcho recorded on Zoom H5 with Rode NTG1 shotgun mic on Apr 3, 2021, edited today.
On a weekend getaway near Penticton, BC, I recorded this bird I'd never heard before (we can hear several birds but one in particular stood out).
Any idea what kind of bird this is? Let me know in the comments if you know.#Audio365 #audio #360Echos #life #nature #birds #oiseaux #sound #soundscape #SoundCreation #bird #Zoom #Rode

36.0 Echos / Echo #31 - 5am Alarm
https://makertube.net/w/hnA9y54sL6fLaLt4GPySY1Echo recorded on Zoom H5 with XY mic capsule and edited today July 2, 2025.
5am wake-up call by the crow alarm clock...
I really like those birds for how smart they are, but the one thing I cannot stand is their loud calls, especially when they wake me up at 5am, which happens quite often when it's the babies period. Indeed, that means more alarm/danger mob calls than usual. -

Which audio do you think sounds better. Straight into the iPhone or with an external mic? #Audio365

Just read about this AI denoiser tool on @Podnews newsletter, and without having dug into it too much, it does seem like a decent tool to filter out those annoying hissing frequencies you get from fans and air conditioners.
I have a plugin on my iPad/iPhone called Brusfri which does much the same (albeit manually), but that costs a bit on Mac.

@payown @cjsims3000 Well at one point, there was an #Audio365 hashtag, which was for that very thing. I think it was sort of a companion to #AudioMo. I was never involved with #Audio365 myself. Don’t know if it’s still a thing or not.
