Qualche acquisto su Discogs: Dookie è abbastanza vissuto (sia il booklet che la cassetta presentano segni di usura, si vede che l'hanno ascoltata tanto, I feel you bro) mentre Insomniac è praticamente nuovo.
Sono edizioni EU degli anni '90, Dookie ce l'avevo ma chissà che fine ha fatto, e con buona approssimazione è anche stata l'ultima cassetta che ho comprato/ascoltato, mentre Insomniac è stato uno dei primi album a segnare il passaggio al CD.

I’m not entirely sure what started it, but a little while back I decided to start collecting all the Shamen albums on tape (Boss Drum was the last album I bought on tape before moving up to CDs), which soon ended up including the singles as well. I stopped after a while but I recently started again, picking up another couple. I’ve only got two more left to get now (I’m only going for the UK releases), if I can get the original Pro>gen single and the Hempton Manor album, that’ll be the lot I think!

An exciting #music comparison, even if it naturally has weaknesses. The choice of devices is debatable and we listen to it on YT. What was interesting: I differ with his findings: For me(!) #Vinyl sounded the worst - too dull. And #audiocassette holds up pretty well. I even prefer it even over vinyl

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole today, checking out vintage Walkmans.
I won a baseball hitting competition back in 1985ish as a kid, and the first prize was a Sony Walkman WM-F10 model, which was at the time (and I think to this day) the smallest cassette tape audio player ever made.
Sadly, someone stole it from me a few years later.
Saw a video on a restore of the WM-10, the radio-less version of this machine, so dived a bit into ebay etc.
HOLY COW. WM-10s, WM-F10s, WM-150s, broken "for parts" are selling for $300, $400, or more. One pristine one with new belts etc sold recently for $750!!!
What's weird is, this isn't audiophile stuff. The WM-10 was horrible for audio. The WM-150, as I recall (my girlfriend had one) was really good for audio on the other hand. Those in working condition sell over $500 today.
