At least I saw a lot of cool bugs. Here are 4 orders of insects:
- Orthoptera (grasshoppers, crickets, katydids, etc.)
- Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths)
- Hemiptera (true bugs)
- Hymenoptera (ants, wasps, bees, sawflies)iNat is being a butt right now so can't narrow it down much.

Stayed out late to look for the first dog day cicadas (_Neotibicen canicularis_) and I found them! A nymph climbing up a tree, still looking for a place to molt; and a freshly molted adult clinging to its exuvia.

A fun critter from my weekends outing. This is an Eggplant Horned Planthopper feeding on Willow. My new light diffuser is a huge pain in the ass, but I do like its nice soft light. It will require some major modification so I don't keep missing shots.
