  1. As a #neurodivergent person with #AuADHD something that has always been verify difficult is, to process things which involve people which diverge or taint experiences, Mental issues especially.
I try to anylize, view things from each side. Not all processing is conscious of course.
But if things don't make sense, if what happened in the bottom is just more of that doesn't add up then it's just like I don't get it.

  2. The neurodivergent "Shower Paradox" explained in under a minute.

    Same if you are #neurodivergent #ADHD #Autism #AuADHD.
Communicate, learn to say no. Sometimes it might feel that there's a push that you have to do something but it's just that people can't always see when you reach your limits.
    It's ok to slow down.

  4. Doesn't Finland have a history of taking children away and given them to #Finnish people?
Just to compare: This family is rich, they have a house, they live on the country side, they are straight and neurotypical.

While we are not rich, we live in a flat, in the city, we #queer (my wife is non-binary, I don't care for my gender..), we are #neurodivergent with #AuADHD.

I'm loosing it. I wish I was rich enough so I can sue their asses..

  5. Anxiety in #ADHD feels to me like being a deer on frozen in place on a road. Where the car lights
flash on it until the car hits the deer - crashing the the whole thing.
The car in this instance is the thing that makes me anxious.

  6. I'm in a things not thoughts frame of mind this morning so I'm moving stuff around in the Writing Hut trying to make some usable space. The WH is the repository for everything from everywhere with nowhere to go &, every now & then, I have to tackle the ensuing chaos

I've tidied some book shelves & shifted some clobber off the worktop to reveal ... space! Yay!

Time for a coffee & a warm up in the kitchen

  7. Just realized my new phone doesn't have a notification LED. This doesn't bode well for my hearing or attention span.

On the birdsite, I saw several accusing tweets conflating "Nazi" and "autist"! 🤬 I really wish they wouldn't. 😢

Don't they think we have enough to worry about, being universally rejected, that we can stand also being considered to be Nazis?!!

  10. Coming right up!

    Waking up
    My mind yearns
    For something
    To sink its teeth in

    I'm sent hunting
    Every day
    Just a lackey
    Being told what to do

    Coping via distraction never works...
Why is this maniac in charge again?

  11. I'm always proud of myself when I remember to refill my prescriptions on time. I haven't forgotten yet, though I've come awfully close to the wire. Not bad for someone with untreated ADHD, hm? I do, however, keep forgetting the names of the meds and keep having to look them up. #ADHD #AuADHD

  12. I find advertising to be abusive to people and I'll never be convinced otherwise. But I find it to be especially abusive to neurodiverse people.

I have AuADHD (Autism and ADHD for people not in the know). And having something constantly attacking my focus makes doing anything extremely difficult.

I think this most certainly also falls under abelism.

  13. A life-changing diagnosis helped yoga instructor and acrobat Aileen Ferris realise who she is - and create a yoga class to help other neurodivergent adults with the sometimes-tricky task of checking in with their bodies.

Your writer went along to find out more - and ended doing a long stretch of his own!
