  10. CW: Nazi accelerationist arrested in Fla., includes discussion of racialized violence, sexual assault, homophobic violence

A 20-year-old Florida man using the online handle “Devilwaffen999” discussed the idea of torturing non-white children, sexually assaulting a man with an electrified baton, and provided bomb-making instructions to associates in a neo-Nazi group chat that the members didn’t realize was under surveillance by the feds, according to court filings reviewed by The Independent.

Grocery store worker Lucas Alexander Temple was arrested November 20 at his parents’ Sarasota home, where he lives, on one count of possession of an unregistered firearm after FBI agents found, among other things, an illegal sawed-off shotgun in his bedroom, a probable cause affidavit shows.

  11. The folks at Decoherence Media have put together a searchable database made from previously unaddressed server info from the big Iron March leak a few years ago. This is a big deal for anyone doing research on nazi accelerationists, and they say that subsequent posts about it are going to include reports on specific neo-nazis.

If you're unfamiliar, Iron March was an online forum between 2011-2017. It's been described as "the Velvet Underground of accelerationism," which, if you don't get the reference, basically means that not many people knew about it at the time, but everyone who did went on to start some kind of notable crew of violent scumfucks. Most notoriously, it's where Atomwaffen Division first came together.

There was a major leak of Iron March data in 2019, which prompted all kinds of new research and a bunch of nazis were identified. Fun! But apparently the leak also included the entire server for the site of the Iron March in-house online zine, which (according to the authors) was never looked into before. So now they've created a searchable database out of that info. More fun!

Anyways, that's the crash course on this. The article basically reviews all of that with a lot more detail. They're promising more on specific nazis, so stay tuned. They're a new outfit I had never heard of before, but they seem to be connected with legit researchers, so stay tuned...

This article contains references to racist, antisemitic, misogynist language. Proceed at your own discretion.

  17. Somehow I missed this when the story broke a few weeks ago: Atomwaffen Division co-founder Brandon Russell has been given a 20-year prison sentence for plotting to attack the Baltimore power grid with his girlfriend (h/t @MusiqueNow). He had been found guilty back in February, but sentencing was only earlier this month.

They picked Baltimore in part because the girlfriend, Sarah Beth Clendaniel, also a neo-nazi, was from the area, but mostly because it's a city with a large Black population. Clendaniel recently got an 18-year sentence for her part in the plot.

  22. Robson: Ottawa’s neo-Nazi trial shows legal gaps around terrorism in the digital age – #AtomwaffenDivision #AWD
We need to expand the Canadian definition of “material support for terrorism” to clearly encompass digital content creation, visual propaganda and recruitment media. Citizen Article content On June 25, an Ottawa courtroom heard final arguments in the sentencing of Patrick Gordon Macdonald, a 27-year-old graphic designer and self-proclaimed neo-Nazi propagandist
    dokmz.com/2025/07/30/robson-ot

  23. The "artist" responsible for much of Atomwaffen Division's propaganda has been found guilty in Canada and may be in prison for a very long time:

    ===

Patrick Gordon Macdonald, better known by his pseudonym Dark Foreigner, has been found guilty for participating in the activity of a terrorist group, facilitating terrorist activity, and the commission of offence for a terrorist group.

The verdict was handed down by Justice R Smith in an Ottawa courtroom as Macdonald had elected to have a judge make the ruling rather than a jury.

Smith found that the videos had two purposes: to “recruit new members” and to “promote” the Atomwaffen Division.

The Crown requested that Macdonald be held without bail, while Macdonald’s defence indicated they expected the sentencing to be quite long, pointing that their client has been on bail for the duration of the trial. Justice Smith ruled that Macdonald could remain out of custody until a bail hearing could be held.

Macdonald was previously released on bail after being arrested in July 2023. He entered a plea of not guilty before the court. The maximum sentences for his charges include life in prison, but the Crown has not indicated how much time they intend to ask for.

  35. Using the online alias "Dark Foreigner," an Ottawa man made hate propaganda videos and images for an international neo-Nazi organization to promote hatred against Jews and others, and to recruit people to spread that hate, federal Crown prosecutors alleged at the beginning of his trial on Monday.

Patrick Gordon Macdonald, 27, pleaded not guilty to participating in terrorist activity, facilitating terrorist activity and committing an offence for the terrorist group Atomwaffen Division in 2018 and 2019.

Atomwaffen Division — now defunct — was later branded a terrorist organization in Canada in 2021.

    From the article:

Now the architects of this subculture are heading to prison for their first, second, or third stints in custody for violent offenses. And alongside them, there are hundreds of January 6 participants on their way to or in the Bureau of Prisons system: As of August 2024, the Justice Department has charged more than 1,400 people with criminal offenses stemming from the insurrection and more than 900 defendants have pleaded guilty.

The sentencing patterns to date of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy do not inspire confidence: All have been sent to medium-security facilities, including federal prisons like Cumberland, Manchester, Coleman, and Talladega. The “Patriot Wing”—the name alleged insurrectionists in the Washington, DC, jail gave to their housing unit—is known to have fostered solidarity among January 6 defendants. So the role of correctional systems in tracking and responsibly housing extreme-right inmates is crucial.

Yet there currently is no deradicalization or intervention curriculum for federal prisoners with domestic terrorism convictions, either inside prisons or upon their release back into society. By contrast, Germany’s state governments and its domestic intelligence agency spend millions of euros annually on anti-extremism education and deradicalization efforts. The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not return requests for comment.

    ...

“Back in the 1990s, the prison gangs didn’t really operate much outside the prison, except to support the guys inside,” says Mike German, a former FBI agent and Brennan Center fellow who infiltrated Tom Metzger’s White Aryan Resistance and other Southern California neo-Nazi gangs in the 1990s.

According to German, “The prison gangs have become more political as the cops started letting them get away with clobbering anti-fascists.”

  40. A good look at why incarcerating right-wing maniacs is, at best, an ambiguous solution.

  41. Vasillios Pistolis has been arrested. It would be hard to overstate what a colossal pile of shit this guy is. He went to Unite the Right with a Confederate battle flag that he carried on a wooden pole with the stated intention of using it to draw blood from antifascists.

He later joined Atomwaffen Division and was eventually court martialed and then kicked out of the US Marine Corps for being a giant Nazi who bragged openly about inflicting physical violence without the Corps' blessing

Now he's the latest to be arrested for his participation in the tiki torch march (he was apparently indicted back in February of last year). Like the others, he's being charged with using fire to intimidate.

I don't know how much evidence there is of his participation in the march, but he was deposed on video for Sines v. Kessler a few years ago (the civil suit against the UTR organizers), which was before people started getting arrested for the torch march. So he may well have spilled something without realizing that he might one day get popped for this. It'll be pretty interesting to see whatever happens here.
