One of the areas where #Atmel #Attiny really shine is the power consumption in stop mode. When everything is off and the mcu is waiting for an external interrupt to wake up again.
On the ATtiny402 I constantly get around 135nA.
While the STM32 and other ARM consume less than the AVRs under steam, they only can get down to around 4..5µA in stop mode.

That doesn't sound much, but it means 30 times more battery life. With a LIR2032 this means 1 year vs 30 years standby.

Контроллер управления аттенюаторами Agilent/Keysight 8494H и 8496H

Приветствуем! Так получилось, что нам достались два аттенюатора Agilent 8494H и 8496H. Они долго лежали без дела, поскольку отсутствовал контроллер управления. Конечно, четыре простых переключателя справились бы с этой задачей, но хотелось реализации с дисплеем показывающий текущее значение затухания и программное управление. Проект сделан в EasyEDA и Atmel Studio.

I was thinking about all the problems I'm having using #Linux or more specifically #LinixMint and the #ardunio #ide.

It seems that the #attiny88 works best with the #atmel software which is only avaulable for Windoze.

I currently run two Asus laptops. A 14 inch that I use for video work and keep as a backup. That runs Linux Mint and the one i'm using now which might be on its last legs. It's 5 years old and somebody looked at the data from one of the syslogs they asked for and said the SSD looked like it was about to fail. I can't remember what data that was now.

So... It might be time to get myself a nice new laptop but this one will come with Windoze and if the Arduino stuff and ATTiny88 stuff works on it then it'll be a good purchase. Since Best Buy has one at $190 then it'll be worthwhile for just microcontroler coding.

I did look at Chromebooks but as usual they have no software that makes them at all useful. They make good Frisbees though.

Als Hardware-Nerd hat man es schwer. Da habe ich nun meine kleinen #Atmel #attiny85 hier und kann sie auch prima für USB-Übertragung einsetzen, wenn ich nur Ahnung von der anderen Seite hätte, sei es Win oder Linux. Es gibt die #libusb API, aber nix für mich, welcher weder in C noch in Python zuhause ist sondern eher am Lötkolben. Den Traum, #USB ähnlich behandeln zu können wie #RS232 habe ich wohl ausgeträumt. 😢
