And I think he just said, "And the lights flickered."Over 30 planes in line, or lining up, to take off to the west once the storms pass over. They're directing everybody to only 1 of their 5 runways to keep things simple. It really drives home exactly how much traffic they deal with.
(All but 2 are Delta flights. Like SEA is Alaska-dominated, ATL is Delta-dominated.)

Yep, tornado warning at the airport. Screenshot from Wunderground. Ramp towers have been evacuated, according to the main ATC tower (listening via LiveATC). They'd suspended departures a little while ago while waiting this out.
EDIT: airport tornado warning has been cancelled, though there's another one to its south.
