A new 50-meter telescope, AtLAST, will start mapping the hidden universe. It will help astronomers study star formation and galaxies better. Starts May 20, 2026.

Avoided the news today for a mental break. Small victory - I reached a helpful person who removed a photo from their site I hated from 2020 on a film account and replaced it with a current MUCH better photo. Grateful grateful and grateful. I cringed every time Insae that other photo. #AtLast

OH MY GOD. I’ve done it, I’ve finished the first draft of my current WIP.

This is a book (third in a trilogy) that I procrastinated on for half of last year by writing the first drafts of not one but two completely different books.

And then when I finally forced myself to focus on it, I was rewarded by a broken computer. The family all had to share a single PC over the entire school holidays so it was a frustratingly patchy effort to get anything done as I inched ever closer to the final chapter.

School went back on Wednesday and now it’s Saturday and it’s DONE.
