  9. Wednesday I raced the Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Cross Country 5k.

    Even though I faded hard on the third mile, my strategy for that mile was just to “hold on.” I hit my strategy on the first two miles, so technically I hit my strategy for the whole race.

  10. Friday started the fourth and final phase of my training cycle targeting the Atlanta Track Club’s Grand Prix Cross Country 5k.

    Taper week gets a little weird with both the Winship 5k and the start of Biketober, but I have a plan.

  11. Yesterday I raced the Atlanta Track Club Jerome Scales Southside 5 Miler in College Park, GA. This was the target race for my training cycle.

    With temperatures of 62°F, the 38:51 finish time is a VDOT score of 41.3, my highest since 2024’s 3,000m track race.

  12. This week starts Phase III of my current training cycle. Phase II was short, but went well.

    Phase III will last five weeks and is usually the hardest phase. Additionally, I’m racing Dem Calves this weekend.
