I know I'm like 3 years late with this, but s4e7 of #AtlantaFX has one of the best scenes of "quiet" acting that I've ever seen. the depth with which Earn professed his love to Van makes Darcy look like a high school kid

Although I love pretentious media, the few lines of pretentious dialogue in #LeaveTheWorldBehind remind me how much I actually hate pretentious dialogue.

This doesn’t make #MrRobot bad because the dialogue works with the characters, but there’s a big reason why something even slightly surreal like #AtlantaFX feel far more grounded than #MrRobot.

Yep, like I skipped #Oppenheimer. I was disappointed, but ended up watching #SoundOfFreedom instead.

@indie1337_1 #DonaldGlover is pretty cool! Not sure if I’ll remove him as my PFP as of yet. #AtlantaFX is one of my favorite shows but #MrRobot is my top show of all time

@Marbleturtle I think it’s because “prestige television is serious”; people have given up on “animation is for kids” a few years ago, #RickAndMorty was instrumental in making that happen.

But this is why you never see any comedies in the “prestige television” conversation. #AtlantaFX might be an exception to that rule, but even then it’s specifically because that show has quite a bit of social commentary, especially in its third season.

#AtlantaFX is a hilarious show

Watched last episode of #AtlantaFX this morning, so great. Even as an Australian outsider who no doubt totally missed many cultural references, there's so much thoughtful and funny stuff in that show.

It's refreshing seeing writers and producers taking risks and playing around creatively while enjoying the backing and resources of a mainstream network. Should be more of that!
