There is a massive difference between opinions and facts. Facts are objective statements that can be proven using evidence, while opinions are subjective expressions of belief or feeling that cannot be conclusively verified.
We are entitled to our opinions, but nobody gets to choose their own invented facts.
If science is fact-based while religion is typically just a collection of beliefs and emotions, you can probably guess which side of this balance I favour.

Why is it that some people spend so much of their time fretting over Muslims? At the same time, why is upsetting people of the Jewish faith avoided at all costs by those in charge? For some perspective, only 6% of the UK population identifies as being Muslim, and 0.5% say they are Jewish. I pick on these 2 groups deliberately as I am interested in why they seem to be treated differently, especially since the majority of the UK population says they follow no religion.

When I criticize #Religion from now on I’m adding an #Athiest hashtag to give people a clue that I don’t want to be proselytized about some other religion they think is better. This is doubly true as #Queer person. A good majority of us left religion and have no intention of going back and it doesn’t matter how inclusive you say your religion is. Good for that religion for being inclusive but that still is a hard no for me.

What does a religion need for you to accept it as your own? Should it go into depth of metaphysical concepts or simply give moral principles/laws that prove understandable/helpful to the everyman? What do you need to truly believe? What is most important in a potential faith to you? -

If you block everyone that disagrees with you: you form a bubble.
Block toxic people.
There is need for argument, to strengthen your positions, to persuade others, to be persuaded from bad positions.
Sometimes when people disagree it can feel like it’s a personal attack… lots of ideology attaches itself to your identity. Religion and politics want to “get them while they’re young”. The longer ideology is in you the harder it is to extract.
