Playing Blue Max like Bob Polin intended. Very different from the C64 version I grew up with in some ways (not only looks, but also controls), but extremely enjoyable.

And it works! Perfectly! Keyboard, joystick and all! Self tests passed 100 per cent. The lightguns aim is crap, but that was known. Built-in Missile Command is absolutely great! #atarixegs #atari8bit

My left-field opinion on the best looking console ever is this brutal monstrosity - the #AtariXEGS. Largely forgotten, it came at the tail end of the Atari 8-bit life and did nothing much of note.
Apart from look stunning, that is!
I just love the weird juxtaposition between the stark industrial lines and the delicate pastel shade buttons. I find the gaping cartridge slot somehow daunting and inviting at the same time...
It looks somehow futuristic and also terribly old fashioned. I love it!
