So, here is something special...I was forced to do some cleaning/re-arranging today and as part of that I shifted my retro stuff into 2 bins (cleaning freed up another bin).

In doing so, I found my original Atari 2600 Joystick. I know it's the original because see that reflective sticker? It used to say "David" with a green cartoon-ish dragon on the side. They were a roll of stickers my Mom got me for the holidays one year and I put them on tons of stuff...like my Atari joystick. Geez, I must have been about 7 or 8.

The pads are melted for some reason, maybe from their time in the garage years ago because it's been indoors for at last 5+ years now.

Guess I'll clean the gunk off and put on some new pads as my hands are all black from them. At first I couldn't figure out why, and then I saw.

Any Atari aficionados know the best sticker pads to use as replacements?

While I was at the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo, I got to meet Dan Kitchen showing off his 2024 game Casey's Gold for the #Atari2600. His first 2600 game is Crackpots published by #Activision in 1983.

I had fun playing the Audacity games at the Expo. Dan was generous with his time, not only conversing with people, but also demonstrating important parts of the games to me. I had a great time meeting him, and he was clearly having fun, too.
