  2. Started a capture of the #galaxy #NGC5128 last night in downtown #saopaulo #brasil on my #vesperapro, 942 stacked #photos over 2:37. Starting to show the dust clouds. First clear night in a while for #astronomyphotography. I probably should have just used the cities lights filter instead of the dual band filter to let in a bit more light. I'll see if I can improve it with some more exposure tonight if it's clear.

  3. I didn't expect much, but an iPhone through safety glasses you can take pretty nice photos of a solar eclipse, even a partial one. 😁

  4. The Orion Nebula, Messier 42. I gathered almost 20 hours of data from my back yard for this and processed it using an HOO palette.

  5. If you were standing on Saturn, and looking towards Earth...

  6. Two photos from yesterday evening. One of the moon, which is always fun to photograph, the other of Jupiter and Venus. You can even see Jupiter’s Moons. 😍

  7. Looking at the MaximDL STXL fans, has anyone else in astro seen their darks and biases jump to 65000 counts while lights and flats remain a comfortable 3500? Been reading the docs all morning and very puzzled. #Astrodon #AstronomySoftware #astronomyphotography #academic #ccd #astronomy
