  1. Five clear nights during an unusually long stretch of good weather yielded my deepest and highest-quality image of Messier 101, the Pinwheel Galaxy, to date. Three sessions used the UHC filter on the RGB sensor, with two more marking the first light of my new ultra-narrowband H-alpha filter.
