I was watching an episode of Astrid et Raphaëlle (Madmans Sacrifice).
In the episode, someone is using a watch to transmit information to a player in a chess tournament. One of the characters, a former insurance investigator who acts as the tech person of the team, uses a hotel computer to identify what device is sending the information to the watch.
To do this, she runs a few different commands, including nmap.
Sorry for the big pause button and the blur.She does hacking in other episodes. Some of it is pretty ridiculous, but I have not analyzed it and don't have screenshots.

Absolutely adored the first series of #Patience!

I note with amusement certain individuals panning the series saying that it's a rip-off of #AstridEtRaphaëlle, a French-Belgian #TVshow with the same premise, when in fact it's a direct adaptation of it!

That's an excellent observation. @Moosical and I really enjoy foreign language crime dramas, and we absolutely cannot do dubbed audio, so it has to be subtitles. Subtitles can actually be quite fatiguing when you're binge-watching multiple episodes from multiple seasons (yes, I'm looking at you #TheBridge #Bron #Broen) but it also means we have to be fully invested in what we're watching. No checking social media whilst watching #Fordelbrysen or #AstridEtRaphaelle! 👁️👁️ -
Kicking back on a lazy Sunday afternoon, starting season 4 of #AstridetRaphaëlle and being reminded again how much I prefer TV depictions of autistic characters which are completely devoid of cartoon cetaceans.
Sara Mortensen consistently delivers an "Extraordinary" performance that is utterly devoid of "Woo". VERY MUCH more my taste than the #KDrama smash hit

Dans la série télé #astridEtRaphaelle il y a quelque chose que je trouve très doux, c'est que jamais Raphaëlle (neurotypique) ne dit à Astrid (#autiste ) qu'elle doit faire un effort.
Exemple :
1/ R envoie un texto "rejoignez moi tout affaire cessante"
2/ A quitte le magasin sans terminer ses courses, très contrariée, et rejoint R
3/ A explique sa contrariété et R lui répond que la prochaine fois elle lui précisera "toute affaire cessante après avoir terminé la tâche en cours" comme c'était le vrai sens ; R ne dit pas à A se rappeler la prochaine fois qu'elle doit décoder et rajouter "après avoir terminé la tâche en cours" -
Bloody hell... There I was, confused when people referred to "Astrid et Raphaëlle" as "Astrid."
Then I realized that's how the idiots that be decided to translate the title in English.

#Astrid #PBSMasterpiece #astridetraphaelle I just finished 3 seasons of #AstridEtRaphaelle on Amazon PBS Masterpiece. I enjoyed it very much. Sara Mortenson's portrayal of the autistic character Astrid was captivating. Her relationship with the police commander Raphaelle (played by the talented Lola Dewaere) was endearing without being too condescending. The writing and acting were good and it was never too heavy or depressing Astrid is an autistic savant that works in the Paris criminal documents centre. She can always find the links between files to help solve crimes. She works with the spunky yet compassionate Detective Raphaëlle Coste. They have an affectionate friendship that is delightful to watch. It is a French production set in Paris and it has not been dubbed in English.So I watched in French with English subtitles.

J'ai commencé à regarder Astrid et Raphaëlle. Je trouve certaines de leurs décisions étonnantes... par contre, je ne suis pas habitué aux procédures françaises en matière d'enquêtes criminelles. Je suis habitué aux procédures américaines.
Soit dit en passant, les sous-titres anglophones sont atroces. Je n'ai généralement pas besoins de sous-titres, mais je les ai mis parce que je mangeais quelque chose de croquant et que ça m'empêchait de bien entendre. (Je suis partiellement sourd.)

的确能明白为什么悸花这种老牌les字幕组会下场做了这部，两位主角的互动真的太有那种若隐若现有时候又天雷勾动地火的化学反应了
因为借用了#自闭症 这一角色特征，得以将女同对于姐所代表的洒脱、成熟和世故进行放大与显化，小心翼翼照顾着自闭症女主成长的大咧咧离异警探，可不就是女同最爱的与直女间的暧昧纠葛。案件方面就没啥特色了，感觉法国刑侦剧和美剧也没啥区别，案情设计上倒是能偶尔见到灵光，比如将父权社会对女巫的禁忌和迫害与健全社会对自闭症特需群体的排斥与歧视对照起来。
第一季是悸花做的，二三季就由弯弯接手了，感觉翻译很流畅，没有以前看法国电影那种打哏的情况。
