Dwarf planet #Ceres may have its origin in the #asteroidbelt, #mpsgoettingen scientists argue in a new paper in the Journal of Geophysical Research Planets. Yellowish bright material in #ConsusCrater is rich in ammonium and connected to Ceres’ curios #cryovolcanism, they find.
