When I wrote my previous post, I was mainly going by my impressions based on Carole Cadwalladr's Substack articles on Bilderberg that you had shared, especially her eulogisation of Anne Applebaum. I hadn't taken much notice of her other works, or looked for any pattern in them. However, recently, I came across this June 2022 post by Jonathan Cook, which establishes conclusively that Cadwalladr is part of what you call the "Vichy media". In addition to peddling the much-hyped but empty "Cambridge Analytica scoop" on Brexit in favour of NATO war-mongering, she has been part of the covert and overt operations to smear and character-assassinate Wikileaks in general and Julian Assange in particular. Cadwalladr was (is?) part of the "British Cluster" of the Integrity Initiative, the covert, British government-backed propaganda mill to wage online war on critics of imperialism.

Sharing just for your information.

It's interesting that even a journalist as deeply embedded in the Intelligence-Media nexus as Cadwalladr now finds herself out of a job. To me, it is yet more evidence that the imperial core now has no use for its liberal facade.

Wer hat denn Geburtstag? Ach ja, Julian Assange. Lange nichts mehr von ihm gehört. Freilich, nachdem, was der durchgemacht hat (sieben Jahre in der ekuadorianischen Botschaft, fünf Jahre in Belmarsh), bin ich der Letzte, der ihm vorwirft, nur noch Privatmann zu sein. Auch er hat nur ein Leben.
Ein anderer hatte am 21. Juni Geburtstag. Edward Snowden, jetzt glücklicher russischer Staatsbürger?

Den Geheimnisverrätern (heutzutage „Whistleblower“) hat die demokratische Öffentlichkeit allerhand zu verdanken. Vieles, was unsereins verboten ist zu denken, weil es „Verschwörungstheorie“ sei, wird durch diese „Plauderer“ ungeniert als Wahrheit bestätigt. Das gilt, auch wenn diese Figuren oft schillernd sind. Sie kommen aus dem Geheimdienstgrau und manch Assange wird es nie ganz los.

Welche unüberschaubare Macht der Geheimdienste, uns unmündig zu halten! Wie nachhaltig allein die endlose Stasiserei den Ossi knebelt! (Freudig dürfen wir kommenden Herbst die Festspiele zum 90. Geburtstag des Arschlochs Biermann erwarten.)

Es lässt nicht gleichgültig, wie einzelne Mutige kaltgestellt (oder kaltgemacht) werden. Manche, so Christine Cotton, werden kaum beachtet.

Ich danke Patrik Baab, der nicht nur mutige Einzelne, wie Hüssein Dogru oder Jacques Baud oder Ana Perez oder Andrej Nekrasov würdigt, sondern das System der absoluten Kontrolle und Steuerung hinter alldem aufdeckt.

Baabs Beitrag wurde auf dem 1. Demokratiekongress der AfD gehalten, der am 27. Juni 2026 in Berlin stattfand.

Il ruolo di Keir Starmer come viscido servo degli Stati Uniti durante la persecuzione giudiziaria di Julian #Assange si è esplicitato bene durante il suo mandato come Direttore delle Pubbliche Accuse (DPP) in Inghilterra (2008-2013).

In quel periodo, il Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) gestì il primo tentativo di estradizione di Assange in Svezia, rappresentando le autorità svedesi nei procedimenti legali britannici.

Le controversie principali sul suo operato sono state raccontate benissimo dalla giornalista d'inchiesta @smaurizi ma possiamo riassumerle riguardo a tre episodi:

• suggerimento ai pubblici ministeri svedesi di strategie che penalizzassero il diritto dell'imputato: i documenti ottenuti negli anni tramite le richieste di accesso agli atti hanno rivelato che gli avvocati del CPS (l'agenzia guidata da Starmer) sconsigliarono formalmente alle autorità svedesi di recarsi a Londra per interrogare Assange. Secondo i critici e i legali di Assange, se fosse stato interrogato nel Regno Unito, si sarebbe potuto evitare il lungo stallo presso l'ambasciata ecuadoriana.
• frequenti visite a Washington: durante il periodo in cui il caso Assange era attivo, Starmer ha effettuato diversi viaggi a Washington, D.C., per incontrare funzionari del Dipartimento di Giustizia degli Stati Uniti.
