@valthonis #ASRockRack sells generic mobo's with IPMI for both Intel and AMD chips. #Supermicro also has decent options for Intel based chips too.

I've been rocking a Asrock Rack X470D4U with a Ryzen 2700x and 32GB ECC UDIMM RAM for a couple of years now. Been rock solid for me.

I've actually never had a bad experience with #AliExpress up until now.

Still doesn't look like my 7840HS has shipped, and the store is talking around my direct questioning on whether or not they've actually sent it.

It's a really shame because the 7840HS seems like a great option for a low power #HomeLab server board, and I was really excited to give it a whirl and see how it goes.

If I don't get a direct answer from the store today I'll be requesting a refund.

My second choice for a server board will be an #AsrockRack AM5D4ID-2T/BCM and a 7950X. The CPU should offer up some strong multi-threaded performance in a 1U form factor with I use the 105W eco mode with it.

The unfortunate part will be losing the strong iGPU the 7840HS is equipped with. I might have to use my #IntelArc A380 and see if enabling resizable bar helps it perform any better.
