Can anyone offer advice for an artist who wants to get into selling merchandise?

(It's me. I'm wants to get into selling merchandise)

I know services like Redbubble will manufacture stuff, and take a nice big cut for their troubles. On the other hand, I have no idea how to get anything made... but maybe it isn't actually that hard? I'd love to hear from anyone who's already grappled with this subject.

I could probably just start with bookmarks/stickers maybe? :bunhdthinking:

Texture Artists! How would you go about turning this photo I took into an evenly lit texture? It doesn't need to be tileable.

I know I can stretch it to be nice and straight, but then, how could I make the light more even? Is that even possible?

I know there are plenty of good (and probably free) wood textures, but for my project, I want everything to be handmade from scratch. I want to try at least. Either procedural, or from a photo like this.

Why does krita give me this horrendous lines? I'm using a Wacom intious 2 (I think) and windows ink is turned off in wacom settings.
