Wie der Norddeutsche Rundfunk (ndr) in einer weiteren Reportage nahelegt, wird seit Jahren ein junger Mann in der Forensischen Psychiatrie in Hamburg isoliert, gequält, misshandelt. Das Landgericht Hamburg billigt das Vorgehen der Psychiatrie und straft die Eltern des Patienten ab, nachdem diese es wagten, sich an den ndr zu wenden.
Mit 17 (!) in das Zwangsystem gelangt, sitzt Christoph M. noch heute, sieben Jahre später, auf der Zugangsstation. Vollgepumpt mit Medikamenten, isoliert, verängstigt. Ihm wurde neben Schizophrenie, auch eine Autismus-Spektrum "Störung" attestiert, wobei letztere offenbar nicht wirklich behandelt wird.
Alleine in Hamburg sitzen über 40 Menschen schon länger als 10 Jahre in der forensischen Psychiatrie.
Ein weiteres Problem dürfte sein, dass sich Hamburgs Senat und dessen Sozialbehörde, hier des Themas weitestgehend entledigt haben, indem sie Forensik einem privaten Träger überlassen haben.

#Asklepios hat gerade in #Hamburg #StGeorg eine viel genutzte ruhige Fahrradverbindung über ihren Parkplatz gekappt; zuletzt war dort schon nur noch eine Richtung erlaubt. Super schade! Und das gerade, während noch immer an der #HohenfelderBucht gebaut wird und dort Umleitungen alles erschweren. Plötzliche #Straßenschäden sind der Grund laut Schild. Solche Durchlässe sind doch für #Radverkehr gerade das Angenehme.

Heute Morgen habe ich meine Schwester ins Krankenhaus gefahren.
Vorbereitung auf eine geplante OP, die schon zweimal verschoben wurde.
Eben habe ich sie wieder abgeholt.
Vorbereitungen liefen gut, MRT, Labor und Anästhesiegespräch.
Als sie auf Station kam, hieß es plötzlich April,April, OP abgesagt weil Betten gesperrt werden mussten. Plötzlich hoher Krankenstand beim Pflegepersonal. Neuer OP Termin ist nicht absehbar.

As for Asklepios, Hades complained to Zeus that the number of the dead was steadily diminishing, now that mortals were being healed by Asklepios. Zeus, siding with his brother, killed the demigod with a thunderbolt.6/?

And indeed, Asklepios found the honey jar in the wine cellar with the boy dead inside. Minos then demanded the demigod should bring his son back to life or be buried alive with the corpse.

An older god of healing who appears in the #Iliad as the Healer of the Gods is #Paian. In the Iliad, Paian heals #Ares after the latter is injured by #Diomedes and #Athena through medicine that produces instant relief. #Hades is healed in a similar fashion after #Herakles' arrow (thankfully without hydra blood) pierces him.
Paian is later reduced to an epithet of both #Apollon and his son #Asklepios.
A god that is not usually associated with medicine but has a healing aspect is #Dionysos.3/?

In the Iliad, Paian heals #Ares after the latter is injured by #Diomedes and #Athena through medicine that produces instant relief. #Hades is healed in a similar fashion after #Herakles' arrow (thankfully without hydra blood) pierces him.
Paian is later reduced to an epithet of both #Apollon and his son #Asklepios.

This week's #MythologyMonday theme is healing. The God of Healing is #Apollon but there are other gods who share in a subset of his power. Apollon's son #Asklepios famously brought dead people back to life. Deified after his untimely death by Zeus' thunderbolt, he received a cult of his own, the Temples of Asklepios serving as hospitals. Asklepios had children of his own, among them Panacea (Cure-all), and Hygieia (Health).
But he is not the only healing god associated with Apollon.1/?
