  1. Part of my hearty #AsianBreakfast today is chai tow kway -> savoury #radish cake. I had it #TeochewViet style - fried, without eggs & with nuoc cham sauce poured over them.
    When I do them traditional Teochew Chinese style, we fry them with eggs & eat them with a soy sauce/red vinegar/chili sauce blend.
    Asher had breakfast earlier & was keeping my seat warm 😸

  6. Made some of our family's Teochew #Cholon style, black pepper & soy braised pork with cucumbers & steamed rice. The braised sauce is great poured over rice & cucumbers. We are eating it with a small bowl of chicken pho flavoured broth soup with green onions, cilantro & bits of soft tofu(not pictured). Our family's #AsianBreakfast today 😊

  7. I'm heading back to Jubilee for client bed transfer to VGH, scheduled for early afternoon. I have to go to Burnside Gorge Community Assn. Centre for a meeting with their director, this morning. Hope to be back home by 3pm.

    I cooked up some #eggs with #luffa gourds. Eating it with rice for a filling #ChineseBreakfast.
    I used ridged luffa gourds because they were on sale. There's a smoother skin variety that's easier to peel. Both are cooked the same. I usually add prawns but we don't have any today.

    Zucchinis are from our garden. Eggs & garlic were fresh food gifts, from a friend's backyard.

    Fried zucchini with eggs, garlic & rice vermicelli. Quick & easy to make. Filling & healthy dish. Eat it alone or with steamed rice.
