Molti riportano i lavoratori ad Ashkelon, da dove ritornano a piedi al Passo Erez, una distanza di oltre 10 chilometri, per risparmiare sulle spese di viaggio.

In seguito alla ripresa del flusso di lavoratori da Gaza verso Israele, dalla fine del 2021, dopo 15 anni di blocco, l’ong israeliana #Gisha ha pubblicato un documento dove sottolineava i fallimenti del sistema e di come questo esponga i lavoratori ad abusi ed a una violazione dei loro diritti umani e di lavoratori.
Nel documento si menziona che nella prima fase, 100.000 persone si sono registrate per richiedere permessi di lavoro in Israele. ⬇7
