  1. Christian Beach returns to Asbury Park Porchfest for 2026

Christian Beach will once again be performing at Asbury Park Porchfest — billed as the largest porchfest in the Northeast — on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at 2 p.m.* The location of Beach’s set can be found on the AP Porchfest Porch Map.

(*Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, and with a coastal storm potentially affecting the region, that alternate date may be relevant.)

Beach’s most recent release was the 2022 EP, Direct and Free, featuring “Richard Bandler” and “Clean Livin’.” His 2009 self-titled solo debut album was named one of the top 100 albums released by New Jersey artists from 2001-2010 by arts writer Gary Wien in his book, Are You Listening?

Here is an excerpt of Beach’s performance during Asbury Park Porchfest 2025.

  2. #HeavyRain, #FlashFlooding in #NewJersey sparks numerous water rescues near #JerseyShore

    Jul. 06, 2026

Excerpt: "The National Weather Service received reports of multiple water rescues occurring throughout coastal sections of Monmouth County, including Asbury Park, Deal, Long Branch, Monmouth Beach, Neptune City, Neptune Township, Ocean Township, Wall Township, and West Long Branch.

"A portion of the roof has collapsed at #BJsWholesaleClub in Ocean Township, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office said. Officials are asking people to avoid the area.

"Belmar police said Route 35 is closed between 16th Avenue and Route 71 and asked motorists to avoid all travel in the borough.

"In Neptune City, 25 people were rescued from flood waters as the storm brought record rainfall rates of nearly 5 inches per hour, according to statement from the borough.

" 'At the height of the storm, dozens of people were trapped in vehicles on flooded roadways and parking lots, and dozens of residences were impacted by flooding, including multiple apartments on Steiner Avenue,' borough officials said. 'Emergency responders continue to check on residents in affected areas, and our construction department is working to assess properties to determine when it is safe for residents to return home.'

"The number of isolated power outages in the borough has increased as a result of this storm and multiple residents and businesses were sheltering in place, and temporary sheltering has also was provided, authorities said."

  3. Same building. Same address. Same $1 door charge (adjusted for inflation). 54 years after Bruce and Clarence first played together at the Student Prince, we're hosting our Asbury Heart album launch at Porta — 911 Kingsley St., Asbury Park.
