Fedizens! ✨ I missed #PortfolioDay but I remembered #ArtVsArtists (or #ArtAndArtist, me and my art are friends).

Like always it felt like I did no art last year but there's actually more than these!

Also keeping tradition of the only picture I post of myself online being very dorky, enjoy ^__^

#ArtVsArtist2025: @illmarks edition!

here’s the first one of these where I kept it only to art I did this year

I think it’s intriguing to see the themes change/evolve. This year involved more Chronic Migraine, GI, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome issues.

December was entirely focused on @WinterSoCosy. I wanted to share my #ArtVsAartist after the final December entry. But I was too busy with other things yesterday. So I'm posting it now.

Today we start a new year, and a new WinterSoCosy! I wonder how much of the January edition will end up in the 2026 collage. We'll see!

Some of the art bits I made last year, including a lot of landscapes and other folks' characters #artvsartist2025 #art #illustration #characterdesign #mastoart

I think there's at least six sets with my sketch cards in them coming out next year, it's hard to tell sometimes when you the sketch cards you've created measure in the hundreds if not breaking into a thousand. It makes me happy that so many of my cards have found good homes in people's collections. I'll see you on the other side with so much more great artwork! Happy New Year, everyone!

2025 is almost over and I can't believe how much I accomplished this year. Adding Disney, DC Comics, and Spongebob to my list of licenses that I created sketch cards for was mind blowing. I believe that I've improved my art style by leaps and bounds with each new set. Plus there's so much on the horizon that I can't even talk about yet!

I don't really understand the #ArtVsArtist thing but let's give it a go anyway

I scrounged up (the only!) 8 things I (finished) painting this year...and my purple kilt, which means more to me than any of the models. The better I understand myself the harder it is to be inspired to create things when my most personal works are overlooked and misunderstood. I don't want to win awards with them but they deserve recognition as display pieces all the same!

It was an awful year in general but a great year for the hobby. Here is my year in review. #artvsartist2025 #minipainting #warhammercommunity #gunpla

Happy New Year to everyone in the #WarhammerCommunity and everyone else in the Fediverse! 🥳
Here’s my #ArtvsArtist round-up of my best LED miniatures from 2025.

I'm not ready to end the year yet.

But as far as celebrations are concerned, I find that this format is best as I don't readily have an artwork for each month.

Well, it's been fun looking back at the things I produced. Sad that I didn't manage to give enough attention to some of my projects. I hope to be a more active artist in the coming year.

Let it be the year of artists, not machines.

I guess I'll have a go with this one...? (wow damn I really don't have more artworks than these this year...)

It's new year's eve! A little recap of some of the art I've made and published this year! Plenty of portraits, and I'm also getting into painting backgrounds of places I've been! Apparently it seems like I gravitate towards saturated colours when I paint, which is... a surprise? The more you know!

(Apologies for not having a picture of me - didn't have any good ones)

Mostly sketchy things this year between work and pain meds but more to come next year.

It’s time for the annual #artvsartist2025 year in review 🙈
I know we’re supposed to present the aspirational best of ourselves and how endlessly amazing our lives are on here (or maybe y’all just have truly amazing lives of unending incredible experiences and triumphs idk, good for you) but I won’t pretend this year wasn’t kinda like a continuous root canal for a few months there, and with immigration stuff and EVEN MORE DENTAL WORK and the expenses associated next month, we’re not outta the woods yet either. But even then, I made stuff, I painted and I drew and I wrote and I only got one youtube video out that didn’t do very well, but I’m proud of what I did. And I’m feeling positive about what I think I’ll be able to do next year.
And I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been supportive this year, whether by doing the Social Media Engagement thing or buying stuff or being my friend, thank you, with all of my heart, thank you.

And *Whooosh* There goes another year, everybody! I'm looking forward to what 2026 has in the mix for me. I still have so many ideas I wanna draw, personal projects I wanna seriously focus on if life allows me to.

Also thanks for sticking around, y'all truly made this year worthwhile! :>

I have a ton of art from 2025 I haven't posted yet, to avoid spoilers of the latest books, but here are some teasers alongside some of my favorite pieces from this year.

Art vs. Artist 2025. A good year for art. Still, I need to work harder next year. >.<
