December was entirely focused on @WinterSoCosy. I wanted to share my #ArtVsAartist after the final December entry. But I was too busy with other things yesterday. So I'm posting it now.
Today we start a new year, and a new WinterSoCosy! I wonder how much of the January edition will end up in the 2026 collage. We'll see!

I don't really understand the #ArtVsArtist thing but let's give it a go anyway
I scrounged up (the only!) 8 things I (finished) painting this year...and my purple kilt, which means more to me than any of the models. The better I understand myself the harder it is to be inspired to create things when my most personal works are overlooked and misunderstood. I don't want to win awards with them but they deserve recognition as display pieces all the same!

sou muito feliz pelas pessoas com quem cruzei caminho em 2025, que confiaram no meu trabalho e oportunizaram mais experiencia pros próximos. Sinto que tô seguindo no sentido certo, bem menos inseguro de mim. Acertando, errando também, sendo neurótico algumas vezes, mas aprendendo bastante sobre quais posições quero me colocar (e não apenas profissionalmente). Ter vocês para dividir um pouco dessa minha vida torna a rotina menos desgastante e muito mais divertida 🤎

It's new year's eve! A little recap of some of the art I've made and published this year! Plenty of portraits, and I'm also getting into painting backgrounds of places I've been! Apparently it seems like I gravitate towards saturated colours when I paint, which is... a surprise? The more you know!

It’s time for the annual #artvsartist2025 year in review 🙈
I know we’re supposed to present the aspirational best of ourselves and how endlessly amazing our lives are on here (or maybe y’all just have truly amazing lives of unending incredible experiences and triumphs idk, good for you) but I won’t pretend this year wasn’t kinda like a continuous root canal for a few months there, and with immigration stuff and EVEN MORE DENTAL WORK and the expenses associated next month, we’re not outta the woods yet either. But even then, I made stuff, I painted and I drew and I wrote and I only got one youtube video out that didn’t do very well, but I’m proud of what I did. And I’m feeling positive about what I think I’ll be able to do next year.
And I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been supportive this year, whether by doing the Social Media Engagement thing or buying stuff or being my friend, thank you, with all of my heart, thank you. -

What an incredible year:
- I self published a children book
- I started tabling at convention and sold my art for the first time
- I made a poster for a documentary
- I opened an online print shop!
- I completed a massive worldbuilding project for Inktober
- Passed 1,000+ followers on Fediverse, more than I ever got anywhere
- Published 9 new blog posts in addition to 48 newsletter entries (and if you’re subscribed you know that I yap a lot haha)
- I went to Japan
- Got engaged :)
There have been some fails along the way, but this could have been worse! Next year I will focus on making better art and to share it better with you guys!
I’m optimistic about the future and I want to spread this feeling around ❤️

Another year is almost over, which I'm less than thrilled about.
At least I managed to draw a lot this year. So, finding myself at a bit of a loose end this morning, I decided I might as well throw together an #ArtVsArtist post for 2025. My photo was taken during my vacation with my bf. He was trying to take a sneaky picture of me, but I noticed it and did this silly pose to destroy his attempt. 😆
