Most successful bits of a first stab at paper marbling as a rainy day activity. I clearly have some debugging to do—I don't think the paper took up the mordant (the alum used to help bind the pigment to paper) all that well, possibly because I was using our tap water, but I have a few things to try out for next time.

Hello, do you have experience with polymer clay? Is it something an almost-6 year old could easily use to make sculptures? Or am I better off sticking with air dry clay sets, like the modeling magic one made by Crayola?
