Day 19 of #artober , and the giant #painting of weirdness continues weirdly. I’ve run into a few problems, putting my entire forearm into wet paint on the canvas, that was fun…and forgetting that yellow is the bane of my existence and exists only to taunt me with its ability to stay wet forever and make everything muddy. So, the feather idea is kind of a hot mess, but I think I can fix it. Maybe. Stupid yellow.

Day 7 of #artober and work continues on the oil #painting of Giant weirdness. Chalk was making a mess, so I sketched some stuff out with super thinned paint. What could go wrong? I’d probably be better at this #art stuff if I had a plan when I started. But too late now, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! Apologies for lack of alt text, I’ll add when I get to a keyboard.

Day 4 of #Artober, and the painting keeps getting weirder. Oil paints are a lot of fun, but I underestimated how much paint it would take. Thankfully, the art store is just down the way.
Now what I’m going to need, besides more paint, is someone, preferably someone incredibly pretentious, to stand around and talk about the textured layers of meaning in the piece. I would do it, but man, I have no idea what’s going on here. I’m just listening to music and holding the brush, the muses are driving. 🤷🏻‍♀️🥳🥰
