A portrait of a lady on fire comes, imho, as a mind kissing, licking, caressing and igniting kinda cinema.

I think the rhythm, repetitions, colours, use of a painting in a film and the context of the emerging narrative between the humans -
settles the question of Why a film rather than some other formulation. (eg, could have been a journey, another painting, a cloud, a game, etc. -

Let's say a person has a head ache.
They might react to things slightly slowly, and may beg a bit of forgiveness for - they have a head ache.

Here is a bit of a story from AD about AW's thing with an image of Superman (circa 12.10 in).

The shorty?
AD was to publish an photo that included AW's image of superman.
Publisher claims they need authorization from superman's copyrights people.
AQ claims AW needed that, not this photo of AW's image.
