Med en intensiv indsats er det over de seneste år lykkedes at gøre hele museets samling søgbar, fx på https://open.smk.dk 🎉
54.000 er udstyret med foto og små 40.000 heraf er i public domain og dermed til fri brug. Et af de søgbare værker er Jens Juels ‘En Holstensk Pige’ fra 1766 – 1767 (https://open.smk.dk/artwork/image/KMS1729), som faktisk netop er ophængt på museet.
