The Biggest Mistake I Made Was Thinking I’d Become an Artist

https://coverlog.wordpress.com/2026/08/19/the-biggest-mistake-i-made-was-thinking-id-become-an-artist/

I have a dilemma. I'm about to start focusing on a portfolio to approach dispensaries for freelance projects. OR should I dust off an old project near and dear to my heart, a coloring book that educates about wetland ecology titled "How A Venus Flytrap Digests Its Prey", for which I have written about 1,500 words. I'm thinking crowdsourcing and charity. Details on both approaches in thread.

This little foxtail grass macro I took after our first frost. It looks like a tiny pine tree. #BuyIntoArt #FallForArt #macro #IrisKnowsArt #Sony #ShopEarly #Dekorationen #artmarketing #artmarket #WednesdayMacro

Another outtake from my frosty garden safari. This is a yellow evening primrose translucent from the frost the flower looks like it is glowing. We had our first real frost this morning. I had to take my camera out to see the macro magic happening outside. This is a flower of the hour seedpod. You can find it in my Pictorem gallery. #BuyIntoArt #FallForArt #macro #botanicalart #IrisKnowsArt #Sony #ShopEarly#Dekorationen #artmarketing #artmarket #artistsontwitter #Tuesdayvibes

Good morning world! I woke up to an email from FAA that they are running a 1 day 25% greeting card sale. I give my greeting card set a pretty good bulk price already. So this will make the deal even sweeter. Due to shipping delays this year we are reminded to order cards early. Here is another goodie for the holidays or just because. Cranberries have so many health benefits. I make my own cranberry sauce and save some to make a cranberry holiday cocktail. It can be used as a nonalcoholic drink or served warm with your favored spirit. It takes the chill right out of your bones. #CranberryCocktail #mastoart @Curator to #BuyIntoArt #FallForArt #macro #foodphotography #IrisKnowsArt #ShopEarly #Dekorationen #artmarketing #artmarket

Here is a fun food pic for you. I love macro, food, and color. It makes sense that I would marry them and use my magic to create food art. It certainly brightens the day. #blueberries #ShopEarly#Dekorationen #artmarketing #artmarket #BuyIntoArt #FallForArt #macro #foodphotography

Today was a super long Monday. So what better than posting a nice comforting apple pie filling? I love making some ahead of the holidays to speed up the cooking and baking. It is wonderful and canned and ready to use for pies, ice cream toppings, and bread puddings.Do you have a shortcut to go to foods you remake before the holidays? #mastoart @Curator #BuyIntoArt #FallForArt #macro #foodphotography #ShopEarly #Dekorationen #artmarketing #artmarket
