Art is everywhere, right? Well, this abstract distressed work started out with the underside of my porridge pot that's been in use for going on 30 years. If you look closely you can see remnants of "Edelstahl" at the center, German for stainless steel. Other textures came from Kim Klaasen and TextureLabs.

A collaged spelling bingo card for Day 17 of #JanuaryJoy and #ArtJanuaryCalendar. This slides into the pocket created by the open end of the paper bag that I used for the #ArtJournal pages from yesterday. The base is a decorative napkin with finger painted shimmery gold paint, also used on the die-cut filigree & dragonfly elements. Glued down a bit of glittery gold netting & some upholstery trim. 2nd pic is the reverse side, where you can see the bingo squares.

Another of the four #ArtJournal pages created from a folded flat paper bag. I used a piece of sewing pattern paper as a collage element, which works great as it’s somewhat transparent. The ladies, in their very stylish #Floral clothing, are from the front of a sewing pattern package. I #doodled some dots and thought this was done a year or so ago. Glad I revisited and added finger painted gold circles, yellow glittery dots and #flowers.

Day 13 of #JanuaryJoy and #ArtJanuaryCalendar. A page from an as-yet unbound #ArtJournal. The page is a flat paper bag featuring vintage images & text. Once folded in half, it was the perfect size for a folio, yielding 4 pages and a pocket. The stitching is decorative. I used a #LibraryPocket and an altered circulation card. The flowers are from a magazine, but I used a packing tape transfer, rendering them transparent instead of just collaging them. #Flowers #Yoga #ImageTransfer

Organizing my art room and found an unfinished/unbound #ArtJournal. I’ve been working on new pages, but it’s been too gray for a good pic, so sharing a photo of a page I finished a while ago. The woman’s face was transferred from a magazine image to a piece of patterned paper with the packing tape method. Adorned/replaced her hair with #Flowers. Her lips were already doodled on, but that’s surely something I’d do, too!
