"Band" - ATC#2.

@artshare

Another #traditionalart riff on the topics posted daily by the awesome @pixel_dailies. I'm trying to tag those things in a way that would allow them to coexist in separate but adjacent spaces - both kinds could be called #art_dailies or #creative_dailies, but this maybe also #traditional_art_dailies? Done in #AcrylicMarkers, in the format of #ArtistTradingCards

(edit: argh, I forgot to attach the actual artwork in the first posting 🤦‍♂️)

My first ATC

https://piefed.social/c/artshare@lemmy.world/p/2385446/my-first-atc

I recently discovered the #ArtistTradingCards format and idea. It's hand-made cards you do in 2.5x3.5in size (6.4x8.9cm) in any medium you like. (It's a standard "trading cards" size.) You can then swap them with other artists, in person or over the internet, or just keep them for yourself. They are *not* to be sold (if you want to sell, you mark them as ACEO rather than ATC, it's the same size but a different, adjacent community and idea). This is my first #watercolor attempt at making one! NFT (Not For Trade) for now, I want to try starting that once I make a few more than one of them, hopefully 🤞😅 #mastoart #artist_trading_card #ArtistTradingCard #theWorkshop

@kzodasnowman @euske So, how do I use this Lemmy thing? are there some subfora with specific focus/interest, like subreddits on reddit? how do I find/discover them? I looked at Lemmy a few times but was somehow confused. For example, is there maybe something about #watercolors? about #knitting? #ArtistTradingCards? #cyberdecks? with no pollution of generic politics and boring crap, I want my dose of escapism. If yes, can I easily join multiple such specific "topics", or do I need new account and password for each?

If you’re in the Houston area, The Orange Show is hosting at ATC meet up on Aug 27 from 5-7. #atc #houston #meetup #artisttradingcards

Tall’ship me to the Moon! #illustration in #ATC format. This one is better than yesterday’s because it has purpose. I should’ve been working but… #drawing #ACEO #artisttradingcards #mastoart #mastodonart #handdrawn #TraditionalArt #markers #tallship #moon

I think that is a lot of #ATC to draw. Prepping to enjoy August. Maybe I’m overestimating how much free time I will get, but it’s been more than two years since I draw this six one and my brain is asking for more. #artisttradingcards #aceo #drawing #illustration #tradingcards #handdrawn #MastoArt

Against all odds I finished my #zine about #ArtistTradingCards !

You can read it here: https://www.betty-draws.de/2026/07/15/atc-zine-07-2026/

I worked a little on my homepage and uploaded a gallery of some of my #atc cards I made over the years. I really want to make some more, so there will be new cards eventually. But for now it should suffice. :3

National holiday, yay! Time to get some carving done. Showed my little sibling the hobby of carving stamps last week and they were so hooked that they bought everything they needed to start and on Tuesday we both were carving like maniacs then ☺️ that’s when I made these stamps.

I’m working on a whole Alice in Wonderland linoprint series and have the goal to complete at least two stamps today. Let’s hope I can get it done! These are test prints of the Cheshire Cat and the white rabbit. Working on the Caterpillar today and… not sure yet about the next stamp. These are all made to fit 3,5 x 2,5” cards ( #ArtistTradingCards).

Hi fedi folk - It’s lovely to be here! I just moved from mastodon.social to sunny.garden and think it’s time for an #introduction.

I’m Bearina, 30-something from Mannheim, Germany. I make #zines, #ArtistTradingCards and have become a #printmaker recently. I also got back into #photography a few days ago which was my first hobby. I got my first point and shoot camera when I was 12 and fell in love with it before that, using my parents camera and strolling through the neighborhood. I like seeing creativity around me and love to get inspired by other artists.

#SciFi is my jam and I love movies in general. And bears! Lovely creatures.

#DeGoogling right now! Also I’m working on relaunching my website and make it more #IndieWeb friendly and #accessible but also give it a bit more personality. I want to start a blog and share my thoughts. Which reminds me: Words are hard! I try my best but not always succeed.

I’m so excited to meet new people! I toot in German and English.

I’m traveling to a Zentangle workshop near Toronto in a few weeks and someone has organized an Artist Trading Card exchange, so I made my first set of ATC’s ever! No idea why I didn’t do this before. I thought it would be tedious but it was actually super fun! These are a combination of #gelplateprinting and #zentangle. Today I custom made a little box to display them in and also covered it with one of my hand painted papers. #atc #artisttradingcards

I didn’t realize how big the ATC and ACEO communities are (and the deep cultural development). I’ll tread cautiously - much to read and learn. #artisttradingcards
