Arctic Monkeys - Sculptures of Anything Goes
"Blank canvasses leant against gallery walls
Flowing towards sculptures of Anything Goes
On the marble stairs"
I absolutely love the instrumental for this track, the loop in the intro just awakens a feeling of dread within me
Today on #JukeboxFridayNight the theme is #ArtInMusic
I submit:
"Кольоровими Фарбами" by Go_A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZzeC3dkd5w
One of my favourite bands, this song translates as "Coloured Paints"
Today's #JukeboxFridayNight theme is #ArtInMusic.
Stone Temple Pilots - Art School Girl
"In the Gallery" by #DireStraits
This is off their first album, which my father played a lot and it’s now got a permanent place in my brain. It's a classic.
"Some people, they got to paint and draw
Harry had to work in clay and stone
Like the waves coming to the shore
It was in his blood and in his bones"
I'll close by bringing the worlds of art and literature together again. Besides, nothing says rock'n'roll like a flute solo.
From "Thick as a Brick":

"Last night I had too much to drink
Sitting in a club with so many fools
Playing to rules, trying to impress
But feeling rather empty..."
Pink Floyd - Paintbox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vO96jJHOuU
A young guitarist called David Gilmour has just joined the band - this is his first filmed appearance with Pink Floyd.
And this one is for those making art …
Villainy "DREAMS"
"Train wheels a-running thru the back of my memory
When I ran on the hilltop following a pack of wild geese
Someday everything is gonna sound like a rhapsody
When I paint my masterpiece"
The Band - When I Paint My Masterpiece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLVpTXZTLng
From their album "Rum, Sodomy and the Lash":
The Pogues - A Pair of Brown Eyes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNtQ5AnRlz8
The cover was an adaptation of this painting by Théodore Géricault, "The Raft of the Medusa": https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/15/JEAN_LOUIS_TH%C3%89ODORE_G%C3%89RICAULT_-_La_Balsa_de_la_Medusa_%28Museo_del_Louvre%2C_1818-19%29.jpg/960px-JEAN_LOUIS_TH%C3%89ODORE_G%C3%89RICAULT_-_La_Balsa_de_la_Medusa_%28Museo_del_Louvre%2C_1818-19%29.jpg
Well it has to be something by Art Brut. How about Modern Art...
Art is a big theme of the game Clair Obsur: Expedition 33, starting from its name. This is its main theme, Alicia, written by Lorien Testard in a language similar to Occitan to avoid spoilers, and sung by Alice Duport-Percier.
Tonight's #JukeboxFridayNight is
#ArtInMusic. And this McClusky song has a strangely timely lyric in it - "Tell me you're Banksy without me getting caught" Here's kafka-esque novelist franz kafka -https://mcluskymclusky.bandcamp.com/track/kafka-esque-novelist-franz-kafka
