Arthur Clarke was one of science fiction's "Big Three" with Heinlein and Asimov. He co-wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey with Kubrick, and his novels Rendezvous with Rama and The Fountains of Paradise each won both Hugo and Nebula Awards.
