Do I have a favorite pen and/or notebook?

My favorite notebook is a magnetic closed blank book I won at a cat show raffle. I keep it in my backpack and use it for new ideas and writing lists on the road when my laptop isn't handy.

I like to write with a good quality roller ball pen, .5 fine. Our house buys pilot & Arteza brand by the box, and I've shared them with other writers at signings. I often use a purple one . . .

Who else received an #Arteza #ArtAdventCalendar for the holidays? A friend gave me mine. Love it! This is my very first art advent calendar.

I used the #paintbrushes and #acrylic paint to finish my "Joy" painting. I have three more projects in work with it. These colors are perfect for the holiday.

This was painted with #Arteza #gouache a few weeks after I started painting in 2020. Since then, a lot of my work looks similar. Sure, that is the #illustration style I'm still going for, but my technique should be better by now. I feel that I haven't progressed as much as others have. I see #artists on instagram where their #art six months apart is vastly different. Mine, is the same as it ever was. Just with a bit more shadows.
