So i'm hesitantly about to start - what will definitely be a long haul - on an art project and so this post was very well timed for me.

I know I'll make mistakes along the way but I'll learn during the process.

I want to sculpt my own ball jointed doll out of clay.

I suspect it's going to take at least a year before I have the first working prototype!

Al, Bluehunters soulmate.

I had to start over two times, because I couldn't catch his brutal and proud vibe. But it was all worth it!

Now he is living at their place.

The cheek embroidery on Artemis is complete. I've also added some lid colour around each of their eyes. I was so tired of a single thread satin stitch that a split stitch sounded fun. I added some embroidery to the bones on the light green and coral doll arms and legs. The reason I don't edge these bones in a similar way as the skull faces, is because when stuffed, the edging stitches (stem stitch) will begin to pull away from the edge of the white bone. I don't like how it looks. Heyyy new doll!
Inspired by GUS from Sweet Tooth, created by yours truly with fabrics, wire and some clay for the horns. It measures around 27 inches (69 cm) and, as seen in the pics, it is articulated. I am so proud of the result. like, I created this!
