  20. Attempt to make some #hamradio contacts on 5 watts, 40m, 80m, and 20m from the top of a hill (at night). Not successful, but got to try out the antenna support I scored either from a garage sale or a trash bin (light bulb changing pole!!). Support works great! #fieldday #ARRLFD

    There is a group up at Chews Ridge Lookout this weekend. This is their 61st year up there -- since high school days! And yes, they get a permit in advance from the USFS.
