Turns out #Windows 11 isn't as bad as it used to be. Other than harvesting my data and self-reinstalling #bloatware it's quite usable. And its look is very nice, makes me think of #Gnome and #KDE #Plasma having a baby. I was even able not to create a #Microsoft account to use it.
Problem is, the settings are a little overwhelming. I'm looking mostly at #ArmouryCrate from #Asus. But importantly, everything seems to work ok. On average slightly worse than Notebookcheck's #benchmarks, but within… -

Then I did the most questionable step so far, I installed #Asus #ArmouryCrate control software. This seems to have gone well but the UI itself is very slow. Then I realized that my Corsair RAM didn't show up as a compatible aRGB device. A quick google search and I learned that I would need to install the #iCUE software in addition to Armory Crate.... This is completely my own fault for not checking this before purchasing but... also not going to happen. #PCUpgrade #PCHardware
