It's hard for the South to get things right from the start, because, ever since the Civil War, it has taught itself to equate righteousness with losing. #MonaOfTheManor, the 10th volume of #ArmisteadMaupin's #TalesOfTheCity series is supposed to be released on March 5th (tomorrow).
I already have it preordered on Audible and supposedly it will be listenable on March 5, but my question is --- which time zone are they going with as the time to turn it on (and can I game the system by using a VPN to access the book sooner)? I've tried this once (so that I had an Australian IP address where it already is Mar 5), but no luck.
So... if any #TOTC fans figure out a way to get the book sooner, please speak up because I'm chomping at the bit to read this next installment of my favorite series of books. --- And I'm planning to buy the ebook too, so if anyone has luck getting access to the ebook today, please speak up!
And always, eternal gratitude must always be extended to Armistead for creating characters that I care about so much, and for humanizing #LGBTQ people in literature, before most were ready to do so.
