Scrivo questa guida come memo per il futuro, perché sono riuscito a far girare PokeMMO e avviare delle sessioni online utilizzando un Anbernic RG353M con #ArkOS.

- Assicuriamoci di avere installato PortMaster alla versione più aggiornata
- Assicuriamoci di avere i runtimes richiesti nella cartella PortMaster/libs
-- mesa_pkg_0.1.squashfs
-- weston_pkg_0.2.squashfs

I think I've fixed the problem I was having with my #powkiddyRGB30 . I got a new SanDisk ultra 16gb SD card and flashed it with #ArkOS. I haven't had an issue with my games going missing after several reboots so hopefully this is the end of it! Had to reinstall all my ports but it was doable.

I recently bought an R36S handheld emulation device. It's clearly a budget device, but so far the value for money has been amazing. Getting acquainted with ArkOS now to reach my ultimate goal of buying the device in the first place - getting the Amiga version of Speedball II running. Even if that should fail being able to run old favorites like Sonic 2 and Super Mario World in a comfortable way is fantastic!

I think the safest device for this purpose is the #Anbernic #RG35xx; it can play a ton of games, has wifi for achievements, and can be had for as little as $50. They are common and have a lot of support from OSes like #minUI #MuOS #ArkOS and #knulli. The people I want to gift them to wouldn't appreciate Gamecube/Dreamcast support much anyway.

Por fin llegó el momento que estaba buscando para poder "quemar" la imagen de 256 Gb (Sistema + ROMS) que descargué de la Comunidad de #R36S en #telegram. Os dejo el enlace: https://t.me/R36Stelegram.

Es la imagen que lleva la última actualización del sistema #ArkOS y en su versión más completa hasta el momento. Elegí esta versión con ArkOS ya que es la que más se puede "toquetear" a nivel de software. Además, la versión 64 Gb que tenía hasta ahora, me ha funcionado perfectamente, por lo que no había motivos para cambiar.

Por último comentar, que la tarjeta de 256 Gb que adquirí fue la #Samsung Evo Select, la cual tiene una velocidad de 130 Mb/s y se encontraba en el listado que me facilitó @[email protected] (¡gracias!).

¡Al fin pude trastear con la #R36S!

Siendo fiesta hoy en Madrid, me levanté tempranito para cacharrear pero bien y bueno, creo que no ha ido mal del todo 😃.

Antes de nada diré que la primera impresión es inmejorable, si bien es cierto que no soy un “crítico” excepcional, si revisamos calidad en general por el precio pagado… compradla sin falta (¡es una orden!).

Para decir esto me baso en mis primeras impresiones:

- La comunidad que hay detrás de esta consola es inmensa, eso es un apoyo en todos los aspectos, no creo que haya problema sin solución.

- El rendimiento y los materiales de la consola son muy buenos para el precio (me costó unos 35€). Algunos dirán que si la cruceta, que si hacen mucho ruido los botones, etc. No puede ser todo de la mejor calidad ¿estas viendo lo que estas pagando? 😆.

- Tienes todos los juegos #retro del mundo mundial y si falta alguno, ese que jugaste y quieres tenerlo, puedes añadirlo y funcionará. En la última versión de #ArkOS no hay ninguno que no me haya funcionado.

Y por el momento esto que decir, luego más tarde por si le sirve a alguien escribiré “unos primeros pasos” que vienen bien saberlos porque agilizan el momento de sentarte y jugar 🔥.

Vor gut einer Woche hatte @gillyberlin hier auf Mastodon das #R36S-Teil empfohlen. Ein gameboyähnliches Gerät, mit dem man dank #ArkOS verschiedene #Konsolen emulieren kann. Hab ich mir direkt mal bestellt und es hat gerade mal 5 Tage gedauert, bis das Ding aus China da war. Ersteindruck: Joa, Display ist gut, ArkOS muss ich mal aktualisieren. Mitgelieferte „Anleitung“ ist dürftig, aber es gibt genug Infos zum Gerät im Web. Aber für 40 Euro ein cooles Gerät. Ich bastel dann mal dran rum. 😅
