    Honored to share that my family is hosting a Southern Straight special in my honor at this year’s Arikara Celebration.

    As the 2025 Head Man Dancer, I invite all men’s Southern Straight dancers (18+) to join us in White Shield, North Dakota, July 11 to 13.

    In honor of Steven Painte Walker “Red Earth”
    Arikara, Hidatsa, and Comanche
    Total prize money: $5,100

    I’m honored to serve as Head Man Dancer at the 2025 Arikara Celebration in White Shield, ND. It’s happening the second weekend of July, and everyone is invited to come celebrate with the Sahnish people.

    On Saturday night, I’ll host a Men’s Southern Straight Special (poster with details coming soon). That same day, my grandfather Orville “Buddy” Painte’s flag will be flown in his honor.
