Unfortunately not done in GIMP (krita instead) due to canvas rotation performance issues that are probably wayland-related (and my favored ink brush being unavailable there) but perhaps next time

This is a graphic I drew back in October for KDE's 2025 year-end fundraiser. There was another image that was supposed to go with it, but I didn't finish it due to sickness and low motivation… Maybe one day I will.

i forgot to mention I drew an alternate one where he's just dumping everything out of the box and its contents kind of fly out... i thought it would be kind of odd, so I went with the other concept

this sketch (right image) was originally made for KDE VDG issue # 46 (Fedora KDE welcome screen) in april of last year, however, because I was too nervous to present it to the developers and communicate with them, eventually someone else created a graphic and the issue was closed before I could say anything.

recently, I decided to finish it anyway, so it isn't left to collect dust in my hard drive

It's said that drawing with ballpen ink forces you to make mistakes and learn from them, as well as be more thoughtful in your strokes without erasing or pressing undo - or at least that's what I think. That's why I'm trying to sketch with ink more often.

Of course, if I really wanted to correct something, I could just scan the page and finish it using software.
