Appraisal gap… smart move or budget bomb?
It can win a deal, but only if:
• comps support the price
• cash-to-close is truly available
• you cap the risk (partial gap vs full)
• you have a Plan B if appraisal comes in lowNot about “waiving.” It’s about controlling downside.
