oh shit! one of my main issues with #AsahiLinux (which let me be clear, definitely wasn't big enough an issue to prevent me from daily driving the thing) - the lack of built-in mic support - is no more! the mic works loud and clear on my machine!

Taking a break from #COBOL to write some #Swift ! Haven't worked with #macOS or #iOS in a few years, but getting back on #AppleSilicone I'm noticing that there aren't any reasonably priced 3270 emulators (that build reliably) so let's see if I can't teach this new dog old tricks and make Swift3270 an emulator! Since I haven't worked with Swift in a while, it'll probably take some time to get back into the syntax of things and swing errors will be everywhere! Maybe by the end of the year...

I really don't mind developing within #emacs but I use #VSCode for work nowadays. IDK if anyone else has heard of #EZYEDIT but it's a #Mainframe IDE that I've used similar to #XEDIT or #RFE
#VisualStudio causes migraines and I've really only been using #Xcode remotely since realizing #Apple kneecaps #AppleSilicone external monitor availability by tier not capability :(

Does anyone know if #Unity has plans to support Live Capture ‘video streaming‘ for Apple Silicone? Asking for a friend…my best friend… Asking for me.
Background:
Virtual Production within Unity Editor requires the Live Capture Editor Package along with the Virtual Camera Companion App for iOS (these two apps link an iOS device with a virtual camera inside of Unity Editor).
The simplicity of this setup is beautiful – it allows a Camera Operator to use an iPhone as a combined ‘Camera, Field Monitor, & Take Recorder‘ while remaining untethered to the host machine.
It’s amazing!

‘Video Streaming Supported‘The Issue:
In 2020, Apple switched from Intel chips to their own Apple Silicone. Performance gains for Unity Editor on ‘base hardware’ like the MacBook Air M1 8g became an absolute possibility – it’s a dream team (between Unity & Apple) in so many ways…
But we lost ‘Video Streaming’ for Apple Silicon.
Non-Working experience on iOS – Unity 2022.3.19F1 (Apple Silicon)
‘Video Streaming Not Supported‘.The ‘video streaming’ link between Unity Editor and an iOS device is an absolute requirement for virtual productions using Unity Game Engine. Without ‘video streaming’, Camera Operators cannot see what they are doing (they can still operate and record – but they’re flying blind with no view into the virtual world.)
State of The Editor:
Unity Editor 2021.3.24F1 (Intel) supports ‘video streaming’👍.Unity Editor 2022.3.19F1 (Apple Silicon) does not support ‘video streaming’ 👎.Do you know of a solution for getting Live Capture to properly communicate live-video previews from Unity Editor 2022+ to Virtual Camera app on an iOS device?
